Eternal Blanc

Eternal Blanc is a timeless white blouse featuring princess seams for a tailored fit, a standard collar, dramatic bell flare sleeves, and flower-shaped pearlescent buttons. Crafted from 100% cotton, this garment balances my desire for comfort and refined structure during the design process.

“Eternal” signifies the timelessness and lasting appeal of the color, while “Blanc” (French for white) highlights the shirt’s simplistic color. Created as a standalone piece for my Apparel Construction I final project, Eternal Blanc embodies classic sophistication for an everyday look.

Throughout the process of creating this garment, I faced challenges with achieving symmetry in the princess seams and maintaining a clean finish on the collar and sleeve flares. Working with crisp cotton fabric required careful pressing and precision in construction. Despite these difficulties, I was able to use my sewing skills and creative mind to successfully complete the garment. In the process, I gained invaluable experience in garment fitting, sleeve drafting, and button placement.

This project strengthened both my technical sewing abilities and my confidence in translating a design concept into a finished piece.
