No. 1 Ace is a bold, custom bomber jacket dedicated to my favorite WNBA team, the Las Vegas Aces. Designed to celebrate the team’s dominance and style, this piece merges sport-inspired energy with street-ready sophistication. Constructed from 100% black ripstop nylon for a lightweight yet durable appearance, the jacket is fully lined with 100% silver polyester satin—a symbol to the Aces’ team colors: black and silver.

This jacket features a standard collar, a silver front zipper, two lined side pockets for functional everyday wear, and custom patchwork that adds a unique, on-brand touch. With its simple lines and athletic edge, this garment represents the strength, style, and leadership of the Aces both on and off the court, making the perfect statement piece for gameday wear.

The process of creating this jacket came with real challenges. Both fabrics were slippery and thin, making them difficult to work with during construction. My interfacing didn’t fuse well with heat, and the materials wrinkled easily, forcing me to problem-solve at every step. Despite setbacks, I learned how to keep pushing forward—gaining patience, refining my technique, and trusting the creative process.
